These meatballs are crispy on the outside and incredibly flavorful on the inside. They are perfect in anything from meatball subs to spaghetti and meatballs, and even as appetizers at parties.
Ingredients:
•1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
•1/4 cup milk
•1 TB olive oil
•1 lb meatloaf mix (ground beef, pork, and veal)
•1 egg
•1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
•1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
•1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
•3 cloves garlic, crushed
•1 tsp oregano
•Salt and pepper to taste
•Olive oil for frying
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine the panko bread crumbs, milk, olive oil, meatloaf mix, egg, grated Parmesan cheese, parsley, basil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into about 12 meatballs.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Fry the meatballs in the skillet until they are crispy and brown on both sides and cooked all the way through, reaching an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
Remove from the skillet and serve.
