Ricotta Basil Meatballs

The secret to delicious meatballs is ricotta cheese! These meatballs are packed with Italian flavors such as fresh basil, oregano, and Pecorino Romano cheese. They're golden and crisp on the outside, and perfectly moist on the inside. Serve with your favorite pasta or top with your favorite tomato sauce.

Ingredients

•1/2 cup whole milk ricotta

•1/2 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese

•1 tsp cracked black pepper

•1 tsp sea salt

•1 tsp oregano

•1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped

•1 large egg

•1/2 cup seasoned panko bread crumbs

•1lb ground pork


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

2. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix with your hands. Gently mix as to avoid making your meatballs tough.

3. Form your meat mixture into 12 equal meatballs.

4. Add to lined baking sheet and bake until golden and cooked through, about 15 minutes.
